About:

I am a clinical psychologist based in Rondebosch, Cape Town.

Prior to qualifying as a psychologist I worked as a high school teacher - this is where my passion and advocacy for child, adolescent and parent mental health grew. Since then I have provided mental health care services at Valkenberg Psychiatric Hospital, Groote Schuur Hospital, Hanover Park Community Health Clinic and Pollsmoor Correctional Centre before moving into private practice.

My clinical interest lies in supporting the development of the family - from partners, to parenthood, pregnancy, postpartum, to infancy and early childhood, into middle childhood, adolescence and then young adulthood. These stages can come with deep joy, and also often deep pain, loss and mental health challenges for both children and parents. It is my privilege to support children and their families through psychotherapy.

As a clinical psychologist, I can assess, diagnose and treat a variety of mental health disorders, and will facilitate referrals to other professionals where appropriate.
