Zeenath Higgins-Machent
About:
I’m Zeenath, a physiotherapist and co-owner of Origin Physiotherapy in Cape Town, with a special interest in women’s and pelvic health.
My work focuses on supporting women through the different seasons of their lives, including fertility and preconception, pregnancy, birth preparation, postpartum recovery, breastfeeding, pelvic floor dysfunction, pelvic pain and return to movement and exercise.
I’m particularly passionate about creating a space where women feel heard, comfortable and supported, especially when navigating the parts of motherhood and women’s health that can sometimes feel difficult or vulnerable to talk about.
I’m also a mom myself, which has added another layer to the way I understand and support women through pregnancy, postpartum and early motherhood. My approach is compassionate, practical and evidence-informed, with treatment tailored to the individual woman rather than a one-size-fits-all plan.
