About

I am a registered social worker and accredited mediator in private practice.
I obtained my B. Social Work degree from Stellenbosch University in 2014 after which I obtained my MA. Social Work (Cum Laude) degree in 2016 also through Stellenbosch University. I completed and obtained my MA. Forensic Practice in Social Work through North-West University in 2023.

I have a specific interest in children and victims of sexual abuse, and hence, my practice focuses on the assessment of children, care- and contact evaluations, as well as forensic investigations into allegations of abuse.

I also believe in empowering children with proper, age-appropriate sex education and awareness with the aim of doing away with the stigma and shame associated with sex which often leads to, amongst others, teenage pregnancy, child sexual abuse and the underreporting of sexual abuse and assault.
Additionally, my interest in understanding people in high conflict situations, especially couples involved in high conflict divorce matters, inspired me to further my training in mediation.

Through mediation, I assist families to find alternative, amicable and constructive ways to resolve conflict before approaching the court. I firmly believe that mediation can be a more cost-effective, empowering and constructive way to deal with conflict and disagreements.
