Carene Joubert
About:
Caréne Joubert, is a qualified South African Certified Lactation Consultant and Dietitian. She has a special interest in breastfeeding and infant nutrition during the first 1000 days of life. She has over 12 years of experience in the field and has worked in a variety of sectors. She started out in government facilities and moved over to Non-profit for a few years. She was part of the Milk Matters breast milk bank Peer Breastfeeding Counsellor pilot project where she worked as a peer counsellor in Groote Schuur, New Somerset and Mowbray Maternity hospitals, until she was appointed as the Clinical manager for the milk bank. During this period, she spent her extra time building her private practice, called Bump to Babe. The services offered by her practice include: - prenatal, hospital, and home visits for breastfeeding and nutrition support and education - NICU, PICU, and other in and out of hospital feeding support.
